FAQs
Are action/adventure sports dangerous?
To put it simply: yes. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try them. Adventure sports bring more value, excitement and joy to your life than you ever thought possible. But they are challenging, so it is important to take them slowly, one step at a time. Learn from those who have more knowledge and experience, avoid those who ignore risk and consequences, even if they are incredibly skilled.
Take a chance, not a risk. |
Why is mountain travel dangerous?
Mountains are sacred and beautiful places, it’s where we can connect with others, with our souls and with God. But it is wild and above all we must have a profound respect for that wildness. When traveling in the mountains we must understand that anything can go wrong at anytime. We must accept and prepare for weather changes, wildlife encounters and medical emergencies. When we travel in the wilderness we are taking our lives and the lives of those with us into our own hands, supported only by the gear we carry with us.
Be prepared, have respect and never travel alone. |
Is Canada a beautiful country?
Now I might be a little biased, but heck yeah! Canada is the second largest country in the world, but with a population only the size of California. This leaves much of the nation wild and free. We are home to some of the biggest national parks in the world, and much of our northern territories are still unexplored by foot. Wildlife abounds in the wilderness, with sightings being common.
Canadians are dedicated to the conservation of our wild places, so many of our nation’s unique locations are protected places. We have everything from mountains and prairies to sea and sky. We have incredible winter and summer destinations. The largest and best rated ski resorts in North America call Canada home. We also have some of the best backcountry terrain in the world. Hiking more your forte? We have incredible summer and year-round trails and summits. Vancouver’s north shore was the birthplace of Freeride mountain biking and Whistler Bike Park is the world mecca for mountain biking. No matter where you go you can find amazing bike trails. Squamish is the Canadian equivalent of Yosemite for rock climbing, and the Canadian Rockies are considered world class as well. Canada is big, wild and free. Come and visit, it will change your life. |
Is international travel worthwhile?
While international travel is tricky in these times, it has always and will always be a life changing experience. Traveling to one-of-a-kind locales and interacting with different cultures grows and expands your soul and heart. You will discover new adventures, new favorite foods and make new friends. But always use common sense and caution when traveling to someplace you’ve never been before. And you should rarely, if ever, travel alone.
